The team support and develop Companies House customer facing services. These include systems that allow customers to search, incorporate and file statutory information. You will have the opportunity and willingness to learn new skills including DevOps (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery methods and techniques, including agile methodologies) and develop your career working on large and small projects alongside developers, analysts and testers delivering change to our existing and new services. You will be part of the IT Services Digital team in a time of great change and play an integral part in the way that Companies House systems are developed in the future. Job description You will work as part of an application support team of DevOps/WebOps teams responsible for maintaining and supporting the organisations internal and public facing systems. On a day to day basis you will be resolving incidents, problems and data issues, using SQL, Linux/Unix, AWS tools and other technologies. You will also perform adhoc reporting and data management and support the release team in deploying code to test and live systems. ** You will also be expected to participate in the on-call rota for your section in line with the current on call agreement to ensure our services remain operational at all times. This on-call element covers 24/7/365 and is an essential requirement of the role. Half a day each week is dedicated to Innovation Time where you can build new applications, try new technologies or work towards certifications. We also offer lots of training opportunities to hep you grow and develop. Reporting to the Web Services Senior Support Engineer, you will be comfortable learning new skills.
