Job Vacancy Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with strong expertise in Fortinet technologies to join a dynamic team at a leading financial services company based in Bromley. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions that support our critical business operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, performance, and availability of our network infrastructure in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure network solutions using Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
• Implement and manage network security policies, including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects, including cloud integration and network upgrades.
• Manage and maintain network documentation, configurations, and processes in line with regulatory and compliance standards.
• Perform regular system updates, patching, and vulnerability assessments to maintain a secure network environment.
• Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure network resilience against evolving threats.
• Support day-to-day operations, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive network monitoring.

• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale, complex network environments.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs).
• Experience with network security solutions, including VPNs, firewalls, and access controls.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network issues.
• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4/5/6, CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
