We are currently recruiting for an Monitoring and Observability Lead to join our established and experienced Chief Information Office team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.

Your Role:

As the Monitoring and Observability Lead you will be responsible for setting the vision for how we monitor and observe IT systems across our diverse service portfolio, ensuring the highest levels of performance, reliability, efficiency and value.

You will define and execute the observability strategy, aligning with the organisation objectives and the needs of our Lines of Business. You will lead engagements with technology and business teams to understand their monitoring and observability challenges and objectives.

You will oversee the analysis and optimisation of observability solutions, ensuring actionable insights for performance enhancement. You will build and mentor and matrix-manage a team of observability engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have expertise in monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, and other observability disciplines. You will have the ability to conceptualise and articulate a high-level observability strategy that aligns with business objectives.

You will have extensive experience in technology with a broad understanding of Cloud and Infrastructure technologies up to and including Database level, with a focus on observability and monitoring tools.

Ideally you will have experience with a broad range of observability and visualisation tools (e.g., Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Splunk, Prometheus for Kubernets, ELK Stack, Zabbix, Datadog, NewRelic, Raygun, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, Grafana, KQL), and proficiency in automation and scripting languages like Terraform.
