Before attending an interview you should always take the time to thoroughly research and find out everything you can about the company.

In order to be successful at an IT job interview you will need to convince the interviewer that you have the right skills and personal attributes for the job. This will include your motivation towards the IT job, how well you will fit into the company in addition to meeting their academic and skills requirements.

Anticipating and practising interview questions is often a good way of preparing for your interview. Here are a few interview introductory questions that you may encounter:

  • Tell me about yourself?

  • Why did you apply for the position?

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?

  • Tell me about a problem that you have solved?

Attending an IT related interview will of course mean being asked a series of technical IT interview questions. Depending on your skill set and the type of job that you have applied for, it will be important to brush up on your technical knowledge to ensure that you are able to confidently and concisely answer the IT interview questions asked. Below is a series of useful interview questions and answers to help you prepare. Technojobs have a number of specific interview questions available to check out.
