Responsibilities • Lead multiple module designs in development for major customers, serving as the customer interface and ensuring program development stays on track with leading performance. • Conduct detailed architecture, floor planning, cost estimation, schedule estimation, specification negotiation, resource estimation, and risk assessment for new product development programs. • Allocate and track resources to identify when additional projects can be initiated and understand the capabilities and limitations of available resources. • Drive design methodology improvements, adherence to best practices, and overall compliance with the Product Realisation Process. • Ensure new team members are properly trained and mentored, and that all team members reach their full potential. • Collaborate closely with product leads to ensure they have the necessary resources to meet critical goals, setting appropriate priorities when resource conflicts occur. • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding top-notch talent. • Provide regular updates to Senior Management on progress towards meeting goals. • Facilitate and lead detailed technical discussions with customers to define architectures, drive rapid feasibility studies, and support system studies. Qualifications and Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred. • Relevant technical and leadership experience. • Excellent presentation skills. • Strong data analysis skills. • Experience in Front End or Module level development. • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working across boundaries. • Experience in team management.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Director of Engineering to join a multi national company innovating high performance Analog semiconductors to help power the Wireless networking revolution! The Senior Director of Engineering will join the Irvine, California design center and will lead circa 10 engineers responsible for modules designs. You will be responsible for defining architectures, driving feasibility studies, meeting aggressive customer development schedules with best-in-class performance and best cost. This combination of goals requires exceptional technical, business, interpersonal, developmental and inspirational leadership skills, combined with a natural desire to win through innovation, teamwork and execution at all phases. You will have direct customer engagement and will be involved with discussing technical roadmaps, hence a strong understanding of the design process is required and a background in hands on Analog and/or RF IC Design is highly valuable. This position requires strong cross-functional team building skills.
