They are looking to recruit across their engineering team including Software Test Engineers. This is not your usual company, and hence they are not looking for your usual Software Test Engineer. Those they hire into their test team will work closely with their software developers and have an engineering approach to their work. This could include: defining test cases, software release plans, test strategies and automated scripting for tests. Requirements: 2.1 Bachelors + Master's / PhD in computer science, physics, maths or engineering (from a well-recognised university). Demonstrable experience in enterprise level software product testing (ideally of a maths modelling platform). Thorough understanding of software development processes including good documentation skills. Technical skills should include automated scripting with a typical mainstream C-based language. Exposure to C#.NET, SQL Server and general Windows development would be desirable. Good communication skills to engage with others in the engineering team. Senior Software Test Engineer Up to £55,000 3 days on site in Buckinghamshire & 2 days remote working If successful you will lead software testing activities such as testing application layer and BSW applications of AUTOSAR classic stack at MIL and HIL levels for both Verification & Validation. You will also contribute to integration tests and help the business automate tests. Key Responsibilities: • Create test cases for MIL, HIL & similar types of testing and execute such test cases. A Software Test and Validation Engineer is sought by this very successful, expanding organisation. Based at their Edinburgh R+D Centre the Software Test and Validation Engineer will be tasked with developing test automation software in Python (and maybe LabView) targeting validation automation software packages. The Software Test and Validation Engineer will also be involved in writing some embedded software for software validation testing and firmware / hardware validation where needed. Having completed your degree in Computer Science (or equiv.) you will have gained 2+ years of experience delivering test and validation automation software in Python. You will be happy working at the interface between hardware and software and it would be beneficial to have some lab-based hardware testing background and some exposure to putting together firmware or software validation testcases in C. They are a leading insurer and wealth management company in the UK. They are looking to recruit a Software Systems Tester with at least 2 years experience of testing robust software applications manually. You will be testing Oracle Forms software along with SQL Server. You must have a thorough knowledge of manual testing procedures and structured test methods and processes. Experience of producing automated regression, validation and performance test suites. Proven experience of testing complex user interfaces. Detailed knowledge of both manual and automated testing methods. Experience of testing database applications. Ability to build test rigs and effectively manage test data. ISEB Foundation Certificate or equivalent in Software Testing.
