1 - If the company has you and your mates as directors then scrap it and start again.
2 - Start small and work up. Stay in your job but start doing freelance work in the evenings and weekends as you build up a client list. Far less scary than leaving perm to go freelancing with no actual clients.
3 - Start self employed and when the work warrants it go Ltd far less hassle in the long run.
