Hi All,
I am/was a Graphic Designer- been working on and off. Basically, I gave up my career to take up good old parenting raising my girls for the last 7 years. So, now I would like to start basically all over again.... find work!!! I dont have a great commercial portfolio to entice for freelance work. I have always been interested in web design and that it can only be beneficial if I develop my skills in this area to allow more choices of work. Since, I dont have the skills or knowledge to build web sites, I am thinking of enrolling into this summer one week course. Now, I have to make a choice of a course shows on my thread title. With the limited knowledge of web design , I am thinking flash actionscript ( more creative less techincal)...assuming that after this course I should have enough skills to start pursuing small freelance jobs building websites. Is Web accessibility and CSS any better or more in demand? Courses are not cheap, hence I need to invest carefully to whichever course I choose with your help of course!! I consider myself more creative then technical- i understand there is some extent of programming language with actionscript - as long as its not too over my head. any advice will be so appreciated as i don't have a good understanding of what career could these courses lead into- from a job perspective. Any advice is so appreciated.
