I agree, PowerPoint is horrible. I'm astonished that people still use MS Office at all when nearly every one of its competitor products is better, and usually cheaper or even free! Anyway, rant over...

Keynote is like PowerPoint in as much as its for creating presentations and its based around making slides, applying transitions etc. Its unlike PowerPoint in that the interface is different - by different I mean intuitive, clear and relatively easy to pick up... like most Apple software!

I think it's great - and its great fun to watch PowerPoint users' faces when they see your presentation, "Hey, how do you make PowerPoint do that?", "You don't! You use Keynote!".

Of course, Keynote files can't be opened by PowerPoint users, although you can export as PowerPoint (losing some features) or as a movie file.

Its VERY easy to get impressive results once you have the hang of it. I reckon if you got a copy then you could probably learn most of what you need to know in a weekend. It's not hard.
stovey, post: 1573 a écrit : Does anyone here offer it as a freelance service & what do you typically charge?
I would if I thought there was a demand for it - there again, if anyone fancies dropping me a project then go ahead! I guess I'd charge normal graphic design rates.

Hope that's of some help
Rob
