Forgive me if my input seems out of line. Being from the states myself, whenever I do work with an overseas company/person, I usually request a 50% payment upon agreement of the project at hand. I find that it works well and most people do not disapprove. Business is business after all. Granted many people are worried about paying an overseas company and then not getting what it is that they paid for, and that can be an issue at times, but as I stated before, for the most part, companies/people understand and will work with you.
