Adobe control the price of its software, and rarely drop there prices, swines like that..however there are options available.
1) Student additions, join a local collage course and get a registration card..wonder off to Apple and purchase a student addition.
2) Buy from the States, order from amazon in the us and get it sent to a us POBox then arrange for all the mail to be forwarded to a uk address..
3) Get a ticket to NY from a budget airline ( £150 return on BMI ) buy it from Apple in the US, and fly back with it..its still cheaper than a Euro or UK version with the Air ticket added on.. and you get a free holiday.. charge the flights to your company accounts and claim the vat back at the end of the year....
4) look at the amount of work the Adobe software will enable you to do, offset the cost against the purchase price and quickly realise that it works out that you need to do 2 really good projects and its paid for in full.
All the best
