Hello, I thought someone here might be able to give me some advice!

I have offered a story to a large national newspaper, who seem very eager and interested. They have arranged to send somebody (apparently they are flying from London) to meet with me and have a chat about things.

I have made it clear to them that I want to sell this story for the best price I can. They obviously want to know as much about it as they can and claim they can't offer me a price until they have the nuts and bolts, so to speak. Hm?

I am not a journalist, I am an individual with an interesting story. I really do not know what I am doing here, and any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!
