Hi all,
I'm looking at taking an 18 month contract working for a US based game/media company. I'll be paid on a fortnightly basis but I'm not clear about processing this on a regular basis. I often do one-off jobs 9 (low $1000's) and then get a cheque, swift routing or paypal. I just process that for tax as I would from a UK client.
Is there anything I need to be aware of or do differently or is it business as usual?
Whenever I work for US companies they try two or three times to get me to fill in a W9 for US tax. After refusing several times I seem to get through and the funds get released. I'm nervous about getting regular payments without knowing more about the rules/implications.
Any advice or URLS would help.
Thanks in advance,
Glen
