Hi all,
Anyone know if it's possible to register as a freelancer in the UK while being a non-resident?
Situation: I'm a British citizen and have been living in Europe for some time (±15 years). I'm a freelancer (copywriting/consultancy) in my current country of residence.
For various reasons, I want to move my business to the UK. I have a fixed address there and even paying full taxes there is preferable to what I am paying now.
I just wondered if there is any tax reduction for non-residents (i.e. those who don't actually live in the country so don't use health services etc) or whether it's indeed actually possible to register as a freelancer while being resident in another EU country.
Any ideas/thoughts gratefully received.
