Hi

The best thing i find is send the invoice with a late payment sticker. You can create some at Zazzle. The sticker doesn't have to be too threatening, just a red warning sticker with the words "OVERDUE" and then a statement saying something along the lines of the payment is now overdue, if not settled within 15 days interest will be added at a rate of 8% per month and a £40 late payment fee added to the total amount. Also cite the law, eg "under the commercial debt payment act 1198".

That should get them to pay, trust me, it's a wonder what a sticker can do.

Hi All

I'm a freelance developer. I was looking for a hand with some market research for a new start up we have in mind and wondered if you guys could help me out by answering the following few questions.

Thanks in advance to everyone who responds.

1) What is your area of expertise?
2) Do you use online freelance sites such as Elance / People per hour / Freelancer?
3) How many hours per month of work do you complete from these sites?
4) How much is your average rate per hour for work carried out from these sites?
5) During the beta stage would you work for shares in a company instead of money if the investment case was strong enough?
6) In general do you think clients would choose a cheaper freelancer or one with better feedback?
7) During beta would you work for half your hourly rate to build up your feedback with a view of having a competitive advantage later on?

Thanks again,
Chris
