Hi there,
My old G4 mac is about to keel over and Im thinking about buying a new one to do more freelancing with. I dont want a laptop and Im not sure about the ones that integrate the guts into the monitor. Im thinking of going for one of the speedy 'cheese grater' ones - any advice. As you can see Im not that technically minded!!!
thanks very much

I'm sure others on here (?!?!) will no more about the technical stuff than I do but I'd just suggest that you go for something above the base model specifications if you can stretch to it. I have a 24" iMac and a 17" MacBook Pro so have gone for the larger screen sizes which was a priority for me. I had the same concerns about the iMac being an all-in-one with the screen but I've been pleased with my choice (especially when comparing prices to the G5s) so I think it's worth considering. The motherboard needed to be replaced in the iMac at the start of this year but fortunately it was covered by its Applecare warranty.Opus Creative Design Ltd
