hi guys,
i'm a bit piss'd as i got appointed director 6 days before 5th of april and my accountant sent me this email:
Please note that directors of a limited company are obliged to complete a tax return and as you were appointed director on the 29th March 2010, you will need to complete a personal tax return for the tax year ending 5th April 2010.We charge £300 plus vat for a simple tax return assuming there are no other technical issues.
what i'm supposed to do as to me it seems a load of bs as i didn't do any work until a couple of weeks later + honestly i can't be bothered with getting all the p60s and p45s for 2009 / obviously if i knew that this is the case i would wait a week with registering a ltd company

I do believe the rules have changed recently and that you no longer need to appoint a director at all now for Ltd companies. This is really something that your accountant should be informing you about.
Hope that helps 🙂 -
