I'm a 22 year old female in Scotland trying to make it as a scriptwriter in TV and Radio.
I work full time in retail to pay the bills and earn around £12900 per annum gross income. I have been doing some work for the BBC and since December I have earned around £1000 with more on the way. How do I go about paying tax on this? I'm a complete idiot when it comes to this sort of stuff and I am not sure which direction to take.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated :happy

Your work for the BBC sounds interesting!
This thread might help you on the tax and NI front
