UK freelancer doing contract work in USA
Hey guys,
I am currently a perm designer based in the UK planning on going freelance soon. One of my potential clients is based in New York and is interested in working with me on a regular basis for contract work (I will be working over in NY rather than remotely).
Is this something that sounds feasible? What are the key tax / visa / law issues that I need to be aware of? Will I be charged tax from both the UK and the US? Or if I only work for a limited amount of months a year overseas is there a way to reduce this?
I will be working via a limited company rather than sole trader.
Thanks in advance!
