I think they are ok... I liked the intensive driving school and the draper's one 🙂 but the others look... very simple, which is something that could be really good or really bad. A simple website could mean a clean and easy to read and obtain information website, or it could mean a very boring website. I guess it depends on the niche.
Well, if you are getting paid, as toxitalk said, it's good enough.

Well, it really depends on what do you like to do and what are your ideas for earning money on the web.
If you just want some extra money and you always wanted to make a website about your favorite topic, write on a daily basis to get fun, your best option, in my opinion, would be to get an adsense website.
If you want to make loads of money you can try making yourself an original product and sell it using a sales letter website. You could also try affiliate programs.
Tell us what you expect from the web and maybe we can help you better 🙂

I don't really know any tricks for these bid sites... but I guess the best is lowering your prices 🙂 First make people know you, rank well on these sites first.

What I do is find jobs in getafreelancer.com or contact websites and ask them if they need a copywriter or web developer.

Well, to give you an idea, I've seen most of the good copywriters charge around 20-25 bucks for a 400-500 words article... And I've seen some freelancers write 500 words articles for $3 dollars.
I agree with Rizzo about starting a blog. Blog=writing, and writing is going to be your job.
