Hey everyone, Im looking for some advice really, I have my own site at finalcrit.com/graphic/dalebrooks but Im struggling to get people interested in asking me for work, does anyone have any advice on how I can get people interested, etc and also if you have feedback on my work that would be great too, thanks 🙂
I've been asked to design 9x a4 page featuring a photo montage on one side and copy on the reverse.
Each image will be be based on their logo, so i will need to edit each image accordingly, add copy and design the layout.
The copy will be the same across 4 of the pages, but different across the remaining 5.
It'll take some time to do this project, i estimate a week...possibly more. They will also need several ammendments. The design will be very corporate.
I've come up with an estimate figure for the job based on a price per page for image and copy. The company i am doing this for will be getting a quote from an agency also.
I was wondering as a freelancer, what sort of price i should charge and what an agency would typically charge? I have an idea...but just wanted to get some advice on this subject!
Any help (ASAP!) would be super duper!

Hey Jo, good luck with the quote, hope it all works out for you!! Im just starting out too, do you have any advice at all, even stupid advice would be great 🙂 just seem to struggle finding work, I know its out there but I must just be looking in allllll the wrong places so...basically how do I get work? lol All the best - Dale

I am indeedy...well I say I am...im trying to be lol just not having much luck at the moment, no one seems to want to hire me as i dont have the dreaded 3 years experience, soooo trying my hand at freelancing!! Determined to get work this way lol

Right, well Im officially 25 years old, 5ft10 ish, two tattoos, im a guy yet I straighten my hair... Graduated in 2004 in BA Hons Animation which I studied in South Wales and loved it!! Been part of various design based roles since then, including being the Marketing Manager for a company in Wigan and also being a arts and design specialist in America.

Animation, flyers, posters, cd artwork, illustration, web graphics, advertising, brochures, logos, business cards, personalized wedding invites, birthday cards, t-shirt graphics, mobile phone themes /graphics.
I like to inject my quirky humour and unique style into all of my designs. I love working with images and words and anything creative to me is brilliant, I hate seeing an advert or poster etc and knowing that I can do it better.
