Hi [USER=29169]@Elle[/USER] sorry for the late reply. Freelancing can be a great way to work on your terms and earn some really good money. Keep in mind that they'll probably require you to get your own public liability and possibly professional indemnity depending where you work :)
Personally I don't think e-bay is the way to go for you. Would UK customers be looking on ebay for a juliet balcony? My hunch is probably not. They'll often want a known provider, who can also install.
Perhaps attempting to drive UK traffic to your website would be a better alternative. English blogs on matters of interest to potential customers etc - pretty much what you're doing at the moment (I assume) for your native customers?
Social media can be a great way - although be careful not to sound too intrusive. Also, if you can establish a set of contacts you can ask an individual who works at the source you first read the story 🙂
You're certainly on to something. Late payments can be crippling for many freelancers, and being paid on time is regular issue. Is there currently anything else out there offering a similar service?
