Anyone use indesign?

- Changing to InDesign
I produce a 64-page trade journal every month and I've finally decided to switch from XPress to InDesign. I spent a couple of days last week just messing about and found it can do all that XPress can do and a little more. It tends to be on the fussy and over-complicated side but I think it will be worth getting used to. Plus, nearly all my customers:eyes have switched so there's no choice really. - Have used indesign since CS1 came out, and would never return to quark. I can remember the fun all the other designers had switching over, but it really is a wonderful bit of kit.
Also the ability to link to excel spreadsheets to automate various tasks is invaluable for catalogues etc. Really do check this out – esp. in CS3 - InDesign has been light years ahead of Quark for some time now. Quark have been continually shooting themselves in the foot by offering underwhelming upgrades - and the fact that you can pay a few hundred pounds extra and get superior print software PLUS Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat is an absolute no-brainer.

It's not complicated once you get into it. Like anything - seems hard at the beginning but once you're using it, it'll become a lot easier. NEVER GO BACK TO QUARK!!!:bananaSimonlikes, post: 8322 a écrit : I produce a 64-page trade journal every month and I've finally decided to switch from XPress to InDesign.
