Hi all
I have a new computer and have just lost all my setting which I saved to create Pdf's so im after them again please if anyone knows them.
My problem without them is I cant get my pdfs small enough with the settings that are already in there.
I need ALL the compression settings (the bicubic downsamplingetc).
I need them for:
low res print PDf
High res print pdf
web pdf -if different to low res print pdf
Can anybody send them over please?
Stacey

Hello
I want to create a logo with this effect.
Does anybody Know the best way to create this.
My instinct are to build it up with layers in photoshop but im not sure if this is the best programme to use as it will need to be printed in large format. Thought it would be best to create a vector in illustrator? But im not as hot on effects in illustrator
Thanks

Hi ya
Thanks for your comments, its really great to have your feedback.
Yeah i've just started a design agency in essex other agencies are charging between £50- £80 per hour, I have been charging around £50 per hour.
I think I may cost it as usual, but then bring it down by adding an introductory discount so I dont lose him on cost. The work will be regular. He owns 2 pubs and large holiday company amongst others
The client needs this year planner to send to 40 managers to plan a years worth of entertainment bookings around bank hols etc.
I want to produce somthing thats creative in the way its folded.
Thanks again

Hello again
I have been searching the web but cant seem to find what im looking for!
I have recently had a meeting with a great company who last year spent over £400,000 on advertising. They are not currently using designers and use printers to do all their work.
I need to convince them that a qualified and expierenced designer would do the job much better!
Thay have set me a little tester and asked me to design a year planner.
Just a couple of questions!
1. Should I go in alot cheeper to make sure I secure the initial work?
2. How much should I be charging?
3. Does anyone know any creative sites for year planners or have seen any great ones?
Thanks
Stacie

Hello!
Just a quick question if anyone can help me please?
What is the best way to create a pdf to email to print in illustrator?
I normally export as a psd to my desktop, then create a pdf in photoshop.
The problem I have got now is that I have created some files in illustrator, A1 and one 1260x900mm. This is for menu boards and a poster. But when I try to export it will not allow me as it says... "not enough memory to save the file"
Is there another way to do this or is there a way to make the file smaller in illustrator?
I cant simply save it as a pdf because its then far too big!
Oh and just one more question If i am sending a full colour leaflet to print should i change all the pantone spot colours to CMYK?
Thanks it will really help me out
