Hi,
This is a good opportunity for the right people. Please email me if interested. Contact details at bottom of the mail.
Thanks,
Mark
Love to eat? Pride yourself on your bar hopping skills? Can’t get enough of clubbing? Love to write? If eating, drinking or clubbing (and getting paid for it) sounds like your dream job then we want you as a reviewer.
We’re currently looking for writers in major cities across the UK who are passionate about food and who love to eat, whether it’s at world-renowned restaurants with three Michelin stars or at hole-in-the-wall cafes that do a great fry-up. If you know the best (and the worst) places to eat in your area then this is your chance to share your knowledge.
We’re also on the look-out for bar flies and clubbers who can sift the seedy from the chic. Spit and sawdust joints, gastro pubs, chic cocktail and wine bars and student haunts, we want to hear about them all.
And if you’re passionate about clubbing, whether you’re into rock, house, drum and bass, techno, jazz, hip hop, funk, cheese, nu rave or nu grave, tell us about it.
Your reviews of restaurants, bars and clubs will be read by thousands of locals, helping them to plan where – and where not – to go out eating, drinking and clubbing. Best of all, you get your name published and get paid for when you go out.
Up for joining our team of reviewers?
Send us your CV along with a list of restaurants, bars and clubs you’ve visited recently and whether you want to write for the Restaurants, Bars or Clubs section.
Key Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of restaurants, bars and clubs in one or more of the following areas: Bath, Belfast, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Bristol, Bradford, Cardiff, Cambridge, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield
Strong writing skills
Passionate about eating, drinking or clubbing
Salary: On application
Start: ASAP
Hours: Freelance
Duration: Permanent

Hi Mark,
I am away from my personal laptop so I will send over my CV in the next couple of days when I return to my files.
For the meantime, I will declare my interest in the role of reviewing restaurants in the Nottingham area.
As a freelance writer I have had culture and entertainment features published in newspapers across the country. However, my primary job is as a Features Editor for a Nottingham newspaper. As you can guess, this involves countless reviews and features on eateries in the city.
I have an intensive knowledge of places to eat in Nottingham to meet any budget, and could even be useful letting your website or publication know of new venues that are about to open via regional press releases and local contacts.
I will e-mail you my CV over the course of the weekend.
Best

Definitely interested in the Restaurants and Bars section. Let me know when you add Milton Keynes to the list! Sounds like an interesting resource you are creating there :)

I'm interested in writing on all three topics. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne and can cover the surrounding areas.
As well as writing reviews for local websites, I also did pub, club, music and restaurant reviews for The Crack, a North East listings magazine. I am happy to send you examples of my work if required.
Thanks
