Hi,
Am new to freelancing and have signed up over on Freelancer.com. Have spent the last 2 days bidding like crazy. It feels impossible to even get noticed by the client with all of the bids that flood in.
If anyone else has any experience with this and any nuggets of advice in how best to go about overcoming this (and please do not suggest buying a tool like Freelance Sniper) I would be most appreciative.
Maybe it is just Freelancer.com that is that fast and furious. Think I will need to register over at oDesk or Elance and see what the story is with them...
Will post my findings on these other sites soon..
Cheers J.

Hi,
Been a bit slack on updating this thread but in the end (for my type of work), I have been getting most of my work through Freelancer.com. I ended up forking out for Freelance Sniper so that I can be working away on whatever or doing something different and be notified when something comes in.
Must say I do actually prefer the professionalism of Elance - Freelancer 'feels a bit scammy' as it were. Maybe that will improve now that the site has listed (partially) on the stock market...:indifferent
Regards. J.
