hi folks , im new to the forum so be gentle,
i'm interested in becoming a journalist, but not sure what i'm looking to cover . I generally have motorsport around me all year round and have some great contacts .I love being involved with cars and storys and the people and industry . I am actually a mechanical engineer to trade but i am after a career change and im keen to get started .
can anyone please advise? may be someone could point me in the right direction of what i should aim for , goals etc?
any help would be greatly appreciated !

I'm not sure if this will be any help at all - but have you tried / are you a member of pistonheads.com? I know there are a few freelance motoring writers on there, you could try asking in the general motoring forum or have a look in the jobs forum on there too.
