Hi all,
I'm sure a lot of you charge by the day, but what exactly is a day? I started working 8hrs, then realised it was a bit crazy. Currently I class a day as 8 hours including 30 minutes for lunch, and a couple of 5 minute breaks to make a cup of tea. So effectively a day is 7.5 hours. What do you guys work? I figure a 37.5 hour working week in a company normally includes the 30 min lunch break, so effectively that is a 7 hour day. I'm interested to hear your opinions.
Cheers,
Neil

I class a 'day' as 7.5 hours which is based on years of full-time employment an having 'official' working hours between 9am to 5.30pm with an hour for lunch.
Of course I usually ended up working a lot longer than 7.5 hours a day as most people do. At least now I get paid for all my extra time. One of the true joys of being a freelancer! -

However I don't charge 'per day' as no single day in the office is quite like the above.............I charge an hourly rate, which makes everything very simple.
Good luck. 🙂CGI Specialist -
