As a seasoned freelancer & contractor and remote worker myself I was getting frustrated with the current selection of freelancer web sites and the fact that most of them are 'bidding' types, which fuels the race to the bottom or pay-up-front to use.

Also most of these sites were not UK centric and most of the work and jobs were outside of the UK and not really suitable for someone domiciled here.
