Due to the secure nature of much of our work, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Candidate profile

In this role, you will take ownership of complex, high-value pursuits in the UK Central Government sector, leading opportunities from qualification through to successful bid submission. You will shape win strategies, align stakeholders, and build compelling value propositions that reflect client priorities and CGI’s strengths. Working closely with sector leadership, you will ensure opportunities are positioned effectively, combining market insight, client engagement, and structured governance to maximise win probability.

You will also contribute to pipeline development by identifying and qualifying new opportunities, while building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders. Collaborating across CGI’s network, you will bring together the right expertise and innovation to strengthen proposals and deliver meaningful outcomes.

• Lead & deliver end-to-end pursuit strategies for complex opportunities

• Shape & articulate compelling win themes and client value propositions

• Engage & influence senior stakeholders throughout the pursuit lifecycle

• Collaborate & align multi-disciplinary teams to develop winning solutions

• Support & grow a high-quality pipeline through opportunity qualification

• Ensure & uphold governance, compliance, and pursuit best practices

• Build & maintain strong client relationships across government sectors

• Integrate & leverage CGI capabilities, innovation, and partner ecosystems

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To succeed, you will bring proven experience leading complex bids or pursuits, ideally within the public sector or a technology-driven environment. You will have strong commercial awareness, the ability to translate client challenges into winning strategies, and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders. A background that blends pursuit leadership with elements of business development will enable you to identify opportunities as well as convert them into successful outcomes.

• Proven experience leading UK Government bids or opportunity pursuits

• Track record of contributing to or winning £m+ opportunities

• Strong understanding of Uk Government procurement and frameworks

• A network of contacts within UK Government Departments

• Ability to develop win strategies, value propositions, and client insights

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

• Experience in digital transformation, IT services, or complex programmes

• Strong collaboration skills across multi-functional teams

• Familiarity with CRM tools and structured pursuit governance
