Duration : 6 months minimum
Context :
LAN/WIFI expert to assist with various network issues and implementations for projects in industrial environments Network audit of sites, creation of the BOM, coordination of network deployment with regional sites in charge, documentation, configuration of network equipment (switch and WiFi), support for Network Physical infrastructure (fiber , cabling) replacement.
Activities & Responsabilities :
Ensure reporting and documentation get timely updated.
Coordination of the preparation phases for the devices configuration and installation.
Strict coordination with the Global Technical Leader to ensure the achievement of the planned goals.
Providing on-site network support during LAN devices replacement and installation;
Providing on-site project IT knowledge support during the site's cabling activities & during Computer Room replacement activities.
Performing physical network switch installations and replacements and providing remote hands and eyes support to the Network support remote team;
Contributing in ensuring network security is maintained and prioritized during project activities;
Analyzing and monitoring network performance;
Providing network support and resolving connectivity issues;
Identifying LAN and WAN networks, as well as Voice Over IP and VTC devices;
Performing support on system administration tasks and ensuring network security;
Consulting with remote support teams and local cabling project team.
VLAN Migration:
Assist with reconfiguring IP addresses on Printers and other static IP devices;
Trace network cables to find unknown devices for reconfiguring IPs;
Assist Lab team with reconfiguring IP addresses on Lab PCs and instruments;
Document IP address assignments in the IPAM tool;
Coordinate with SAP, DNS, and Server team to change printer IPs.
LAN Upgrade:
Coordinate with network remote team to stage, configure, and replace network switches;
Label networking equipment;
Document on provided map locations of networking equipment;
Label patch cables to ensure they are reconnected to the correct ports;
Network Rack Replacement support.
EOL AP Replacements:
Coordinate with network remote team, configure, and activate WiFi Access Points;
Coordinate with wiring vendor to install WiFi Access Points and cables;
Document on provided map locations of WiFI Access Points;
Work with vendor to replace network racks;
Unmount and remount equipment mounted in the rack;
Ensure proper cable management and labeling.
Site Rewire:
Work with network remote team, site and vendor during the cabling site’s project (Fiber optics, Second Core, Racks replacement/refurbishment, etc.;
Ensure proper management and labeling of patch panels and patch cables;
Work with vendor to replace network racks;
Work with the vendor to unmount and remount equipment mounted in the racks.
Daily work tasks:
Prioritize working safely and carefully;
Keep documentation up to date using documentation tools such as Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Sheets;
Install, stage, rack-mounting, connecting, Cisco network switches, including installing modules and power supplies in collaboration with the vendor;
Assemble and rack-mounting UPS devices when requested;
Install and manage patch cabling in a network rack properly;
Stage and assist with installing Cisco Wi-Fi Access Points and antennas;
Work with the PM/ Technical team to provide updates as needed
Experience & skills required :
Technical Experience: 5 -7 Years minimum
Fluent English
In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and network installation techniques;
Exceptional ability to provide network support and resolve errors;
Experience with Inter-Network Operating Systems such as Cisco Systems.
Advanced knowledge of network setup and security;
Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics;
Driving license and availability to do business trips.
Skills :
CISCO CCNA/CCNP
Knowledge of support, run + analytical skills.
Knowledge of CISCO ISE + WLC management.
Technical knowledge of Cisco configuration, coordination with other teams (e.g. operator, local IT, project teams)
Project management skills:
Organization needs analysis, solution proposals, autonomous rigorous management of priorities
crisis situations,
willing to work out of Business Hours for implementations.
Team Leader skills:
organization and coordination of Technical Team’s (5-6 resources) daily activities.
