Job Vacancy Software Test Engineer - Mobile apps, Connected Devices

As they continue to scale-up, they are looking to hire a further experienced Software Test Engineer to join their rapidly expanding R&D team!

As a Software Test Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of cutting-edge mobile apps, middleware and embedded software, and be working closely with your colleagues in the hardware team as well

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct manual and automated testing on mobile apps, including feature, regression, and stress testing.
• Develop and execute automated unit tests for code and APIs.
• Perform testing on embedded code and collaborate with the team on debugging.
• Support the creation and refinement of test strategies and methodologies.
Essential Experience/Skills:
• Strong commercial experience as a Software Test Engineer working within a start-up/small company environment
• Testing mobile applications (iOS and Android)
• Knowledge of testing REST APIs
• Automation testing skills (e.g., Appium)
• Experience testing embedded software in products.
• Strong experience in developing test plans, test cases, and scenarios
• Skilled in running tests for functionality, usability, and performance
• Familiarity with test case management systems (e.g., TestRail)
• Unit Testing experience
They offer hybrid working, with a requirement to be in the office 3-4 days per week, so you'll need to live within commutable distance
