Our international client is currently searching for an R&D Director to lead research programs to propel the company into the future. Tapping into funding opportunities and working with executive and senior management across the business will be required to ensure that the R&D strategy is targeted and leading the latest market trends. Guiding, nurturing and inspiring an expanding team of highly skilled R&D engineers and specialists, committed to creating industry leading optoelectronic devices will be an exciting part of the role.  Establishing, cultivating, and sustaining external relationships and alliances with essential stakeholders, including executives, marketing teams, investors, and academic collaborators involved in research projects will be key to the role. 

Required skills for the R&D Director will include:
• Expert knowledge of III-V semiconductor device physics, characterisation and process
• Optoelectronic industry knowledge and vision
• Ability to engage with stakeholders with strong managerial skills
• Considerable leadership expertise within a research setting, demonstrated by a history of securing and executing successful optoelectronic research initiatives.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electronic Engineering)
