Freelance job Database Administrator - Active DV clearance Required

Location: Full time on site in either London or Birmingham Duration: 6 months rollingClearance level: DV level and no opportunity for sponsorship on this occasion.IR35 Status: Inside IR35 They require someone to serve as an SME of Databases and provide assistance to production lifecycle teams: development, infrastructure, testing and production. This may require occasional travel to sites nationwide and working out of hours and be on-call.Key Qualifications* Monitor, maintain and tune databases to optimise availability of server as well as troubleshooting performance.* Create suitable Database alerts and proactively monitor, respond, action to alerts* Troubleshot performance and connection issues.* Build environments based on standards and best practices that would align to operational and business requirements.* Monitor database maintenance scripts for backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics.* Produce, maintain, and ensure backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly. Essential Experience Required:* Experienced in database technologies and a good understanding of SQL development and scripting tools.* Experienced in database administration, including back-ups, maintenance, performance monitoring and troubleshooting* Experienced in implementing high availability setups such as Always on HA, Mirroring, log shipping and Microsoft Clustering.* Hold excellent knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server Stack - SSMS, SSAS, SSIS & SSRS.* Able to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities.* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server internals and core database functionality (indexes, schemas, triggers, etc.)* Have a good understanding of database architecture and database design.Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
