Cloud Engineer - Up to £75,000 + 20% Bonus + Excellent Benefits - City of London

Overview:
Our client, a leading Insurance firm, is searching for an experienced Cloud Engineer in London on a hybrid basis. This role involves joining a growing team that manages all aspects of the public cloud platforms for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.

You will contribute to the management, maintenance, support, development and design for all cloud related technologies across the organisation.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Propose, architect, design and deploy innovative cloud-based solutions that work alongside existing on-premise infrastructure.
• Produce high quality architectural designs and documentation based on business requirements.
• Liaise with application teams and other infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
• Work with other members of the cloud team to increase the stability, security and cost effectiveness of the platforms.
• Provide BAU support to consumers of cloud services
• Undertake reporting of KPI’s, KRI’s and other metrics on a rota based schedule
• Provide OOH on-call support (no more than 1 week in 4)

• Understanding of Cloud architectures and strategy for multiple deployment models - public, private, and hybrid
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure (with exposure to at least one other of): Amazon AWS, Oracle Cloud (OCI)
• Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Hyper Converged Compute (HCI), virtual networking, security and application architecture
• Proven experience in designing innovative business solutions
• Track record in delivery of successful Infrastructure projects.
• A good understanding of at least one Cloud Identity Security and Access Management implementation.
• PowerShell/ARM/Bicep/Azure CLI
• Scripting skills (or other relevant languages)
• Knowledge of application architectures using non-Microsoft technologies such as Linux, SAP, and Open Source technologies such as OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes and similar

• Up to £75,000 base salary
