Hi,
I believe that if you are new to freelancing you should charge around £10- £20 per hour. However it may be better not to tell your friend that your charging by the hour and just work out in your head how long you think it will take then charge a flat rate.

Hi Guys,
I am a Graphic designer who has been working with the same client network for a while now. Do you have ideas as to how I can get in new clients, (advertising, marketing techniques). I already doing the word of mouth thing.
Cheers.

Hi Sarah,
I would always charge at least 20% upfront before hand. The client should be assured by the quality of your portfolio.

Hi,
I never charge for initial consultations as clients may feel uneasy about this and not want to meet up.
If your consultation is free and your presentation and portfolio speaks for itself, you likely to get the job.
