Anyone any advice on contracts - I have a couple of jobs coming through from unknown clients - is there a template out there that I can base on - also do I need to get it overlooked by a legal official?

The main key is to cover your back from every angle, I havnt got a template but you need to include the fact that the work belongs to you until you sign it over. The work cannot be used over and over without your consent. State waht you will charge inc VAT (if registerd) Make sure you print a copy off for your self and ideally get the client to sign it to say they agree before you start anything. Try to never put your neck on the line 9/10 you will lose your head. As for the legal side its upto yourself they might find loop holes but i wouldnt bother just make sure you cover yourself from being ripped off.
