Hi Fellow Freelancers (1)
Hiya. Just introducing myself. :happy
About 5 years ago I used to be a freelance graphic designer/artworker/illustrator, then I had two lovely babies, 14 months apart. You can imagine this made working very difficult so I changed my career and started a cleaning business to enable work to fit around my life.
I'm now giving up the domestic cleaning and going for it! Back into the scary world of freelancing. I'm also going to embrace modern technology and learn meself a bit of Dreamweaver and Flash while I'm at it. New year's resolutions time.
Ta for reading. Hope to make some new friends here.
Doodlebee.

- Good luck with the new freelance venture!
Sadly, I think the world of flash may be on it's way it in general cases other than games etc. Apple have pretty much stopped flash from being used on the iPhone and iPad making HTML5 video the new way to go.
I'd recommend looking into HTML5 a bit more than flash and getting to grips with new features such as <video>, <canvas> etc which will be the new trend.
Good luck! - Good luck! I'm sure you'll soon get back into the swing of things. Are you looking to work for your own clients from home/your own office or are you aiming to be going into some of the more established agencies and working within their design teams? Out of interest, where are you based?Opus Creative Design Ltd
- Very exciting. I started my own freelance writing and seo business about a year ago. I haven't looked back! I'm working harder than I worked in my old job, but somehow it just doesn't feel quite the same. :glasses

Hi Opus. I'll be working for my own clients as well as for agencies, as I used to in the olden days. Anything as long as it's not cleaning! :eyesOpus, post: 15899 a écrit : Are you looking to work for your own clients from home/your own office or are you aiming to be going into some of the more established agencies and working within their design teams? I'm my own client as well, I have a t-shirt shop on Spreadshirt.com where I upload my designs and people can buy my creations or use my designs to create their own clothes. It's a small ego boost when I make a sale!
Sunny Cheshire is my home county.
ezeapostle, thanks for the tip. I'll look into your suggestion. 😎 -
