Hi everyone,
I am new to freelancing, but realy want to get into it. I have been designing sites for around 3 years (not long i know), but i have gained alot of knowledge from those years.
I have designed quite a few sites for people in my area. I am currently self employed aswell, as having a fulltime job.
My current business involves pc repair & webdesign. But i am now just going to do web design, as this is what i really want to do.
I would just like some advice on, where to go from here and where i can find work on the internet, obviously i need to build up my portfolio also. So i would be interested if anyone would want a website designed for free.
Thanks alot, hope this all makes sense, its been a long day lol.

Hi there
I am also in a similar position to you .....but you have a lot more experience than me , but after all the research i have been doing it seems that the best way of getting off the ground is by word of mouth I have made up some business cards , some flyers and have a website portfolio .. where ever I go i have my cards and flyers with me , when you talk to people ... tell them what you do give them a card or a flyer .. hell even give them one for their friends i have got one job on the go at the moment from this and have only been doing this for a few weeks on a small level as i also work full time and have a baby due .. the response is always positive i have found .. -

I am new to freelancing also, but the bussiness cards seem like a good idea. I might have to use that myself đ
I will have to start self promoting also, dont want to steal bussiness away from barefootedboy.co.uk but, if anyone is interested in a web developer/designer please let me know.
