The cybersecurity engineer is an expert in information systems security within a company. They are responsible for the company's IT security. Their objective is to monitor IT security through vulnerability analysis. The cybersecurity engineer also makes proposals to implement increasingly reliable security protocols on various aspects: architecture, network access, communication protocols, data access, applications. They must maintain continuous monitoring to prevent current cyber threats in order to write alert bulletins and improve security measures. Their goal is to prevent each IT threat from recurring. The cybersecurity engineer therefore must have solid technical knowledge as well as flexibility regarding current technological developments. The cybersecurity engineer also has a role as a communicator and evangelist for IT security within a company. They must raise maximum awareness about best practices in IS security and data protection. They are also at the heart of IT projects as they liaise with services involved in projects and participate in different phases.
