A global medical device company are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their Research and Development team on a contract basis. The role is primarily to lead the design of a new stent product. You will be involved in the stent graphs and stent delivery system, you will also need to design the covering. You will lead your team, collaborate with other multi-disciplinary engineers in the R&D team and work with external vendors. Essential skills: - 5+ years experience in design & development of Class III medical devices - Stent, stent graphs, delivery systems experience - Experience leading a team and other engineers - Stent coverings/coatings experience - Compressed, expanded, electrospun - Shaping & Forming covers onto stents The start date is for ASAP. The initial contract length is for 12 months, with options to extend after. The role is based in Limerick and will require 1-2 days onsite per week, the rest of the time you can work remotely. The rate is EUR50-55 per hour, depending on experience, if you have any expenses please let me know and I can factor that into the rate for you.
