Key Responsibilities: • Regulatory Compliance: • Ensure all regulatory reports are prepared and submitted in accordance with PRA guidelines and timelines. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PRA regulations and ensure the organization's reporting practices are compliant. • Liaise with regulatory bodies to stay abreast of changes in reporting requirements and implement necessary adjustments. • Team Leadership: • Lead and mentor a team of regulatory reporting analysts and specialists. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence within the team. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities. • Data Integrity & Reporting: • Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of data required for regulatory reporting. • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all regulatory reports before submission. • Implement robust control frameworks to mitigate risks associated with regulatory reporting. • Stakeholder Management: • Collaborate with internal departments, including Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive reporting processes. • Communicate effectively with senior management and provide insights into regulatory reporting matters. • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory examiners. • Process Improvement: • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy in regulatory reporting. • Lead projects aimed at optimizing the regulatory reporting function and implementing best practices. • Monitor and assess the impact of new regulatory requirements on existing processes and systems. • Strategic Planning: • Develop and execute the regulatory reporting strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and regulatory environment. • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on regulatory reporting trends and developments. This Head of PIC Characterisation would be expected to lead the characterisation team with their experience in the field of Photonic integrated circuits.
