The day rate will be £850pd Umbrella per day, with two to three days out of their city of London offices. Responsibilities for the role are; • To provide managerial cover as a senior manager within the global investment risk team for a 12 month period • To manage and mentor a team of risk analysts within the 2LOD analytical risk function • To undertake analysis of portfolios with the aim of providing insight into the management of the portfolios and any investment risk issues that may be present • To provide coaching, support and training on investment risk matters, techniques and system to other members of the Investment Risk Team and wider business as required/appropriate. • Contribute to effective management and development roadmaps of the investment risk oversight function ensuring that the Investment Risk Framework operates optimally to adequately identify and assess prevailing and emerging risks in portfolios and products • Contribute to the effective management and governance of (where appropriate): • Attendance and contribution at the Investment Risk & Performance Groups and Investment Oversight Committee • Chair/attend other relevant governance committees as required/appropriate • Delivery, if required, of Investment Risk MI/reporting to Board, governance and Management forums • Effective liaison with internal shared service providers: HR, Finance, Legal etc • Ensure that the business, Boards and Senior Management have confidence in the Investment Risk function • Regular provision of analysis to the Investment Risk & Performance Oversight Groups (IRPOGs) and other related groups. • To provide leadership and ownership of the Investment Risk Framework process, maintaining and developing the configuration of risk tolerances and limits • Manage and operate the daily, weekly, and monthly requirements in relation to the analysis, interpretation, and escalation of output produced by Investment Risk Framework • To undertake and present own analysis to the relevant forum and to inform the discussion over any highlighted issues or concerns • Production of, and contribution to, meeting packs for investment risk related meetings • Resolution of action points and continuing analysis arising out of areas of research presented to the IRPOG meetings. • Support and production of routine analysis and reporting from ex-ante risk systems • Provision of appropriate investment risk information to the investment team • Develop and maintain an enhanced knowledge of the risk systems and analytical techniques and systems used for data retrieval and reporting • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of fund range and product offering. • To assist with the minuting and recording of discussion at all investment risk related meetings. • To undertake development of new analytical tools and reporting to assist with the understanding of portfolios managed. • To provide monitoring and oversight of derivative positions held within portfolios. • Assist client relationship and business development teams with investment risk information as appropriate • Act as a general resource for investment risk related information to senior management • To contribute to independent research on fund range, the drawing of conclusions and the presentation of analysis at the appropriate forum.
