The Sales Manager is responsible for revenue and commercial margin in their sector of activity. They can propose new commercial strategies to their superiors to develop IT products/services sold by an IT company with the aim of increasing revenue and accelerating company growth. To achieve this, the Sales Manager will establish a business plan to build customer loyalty by ensuring all their needs are met; improve company visibility by being present at trade shows, on social media, etc. to increase contacts; and establish market analyses. They must also verify the control and management of company inventory. They must also motivate their sales representatives in the field to meet expected objectives and enhance the company's competitiveness. Sales Manager is a profession that evolves in the marketing world and has direct connections with field teams and management to identify commercial challenges and achieve sales objectives. In large companies, the Sales Manager reports to the Commercial Director, while in SMEs, the company director will be their superior. They can also work as a Freelancer for assignments within different companies. Before reaching this position, most often, the Sales Manager was a seller or sales representative. After proving themselves as an account director or development manager, they can be promoted to the position of Sales Manager.
