Skills: The ideal candidate should have experience with Front End Engineering design processes from concept development through feasibility studies, risk analysis, cost estimating and scheduling. The Company • Outside IR35 • Hybrid work model - 3 days a week onsite • Manchester based • 6 month contract with potential extension The Requirements • Create and manage 3D CAD models and drawings in Solidworks, following ISO and BS standards for various part types (machined, cast, moulded). • Oversee engineering drawing control, document management, and changes through ECN procedures. • Perform 3D thermal and stress analysis, contribute to design reviews, and support reliability testing and analysis. • Develop manufacturing documentation, jigs, fixtures, and ensure compliance with RoHS and WEEE standards. • Investigate new suppliers, materials, and processes for cost reduction and process improvements. I am representing a cutting-edge technology client, a leader in the design and development of antennas for IoT and wireless applications, who is looking to expand their UK-based engineering team with a Junior Antenna Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company recognised for its innovation in antenna solutions, focusing on new product development, custom antenna projects, and assisting customers with the integration of advanced internal and external antennas (across LTE, 5G, WiFi, BLE, and GNSS bands). Key Responsibilities: • New Product Development: As a Junior Antenna Engineer, you will design and develop internal and external antennas using CAD tools, covering various mounting configurations such as screw, adhesive, and magnetic mounts. • Custom Solutions: Create bespoke antenna designs to fulfill unique customer requirements. • Customer Integration Support: Assist clients in integrating antennas into their devices by providing design reviews, layout optimisation, and technical advice.
