We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced Delivery Lead to be part of a key transformation with a strong focus on delivering modern solutions for exam digital products. This role is a blend of new product delivery, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The Delivery Lead role will drive a set of production systems, working on future strategic and technology requirements as well as continuous alignment with business objectives.

 About the role

  • Planning and delivery across all work within the product family and across other domains when the domain is taking a lead, leading a team of delivery managers.
  • Ensure effective and optimal management of team capacity, budget, risks and issues management across squads to deliver the portfolio.
  • Ensure availability, integrity, and supportability of services at all times, ensuring correct operational support is in place.
  • Working closely with vendor management/procurement team, displays strong and effective vendor management skills to oversee successful delivery from technical delivery partners.

 About you

Qualifications

  • Evidence of higher education (University or professional degree in related IT field or equivalent experience
  • Professionally qualified / certified in management of technology and agile delivery such as Scrum master, SAFE or similar
  • Ideally ITIL foundation qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience

 Skills

  • In depth knowledge of agile ways of working
  • Good knowledge of project/programme management (Prince 2 or PMP and/or programme manager qualified or demonstrated equivalent experience)
  • Knowledgeable in balancing innovation and service stability
  • Budget and roadmap management

Experience

  • Must have held this role in other organisations in previous roles, and be able to evidence and demonstrate both the successful delivery and lessons learnt from the direct experience
  • Must be considered a professional manager having managed and developed teams and/or services in prior roles
  • A strong and broad understanding of current IT, Agile methodologies, frameworks and best practises
  • Strong experience in third party management with focus on managed services
