Job title: Senior Operations Engineer (Electrical)

Salary: £45,383+ (dependent on skills and experience)

What you'll be doing:

• Support all Weapon Systems UK products both in the UK and overseas, ensuring all operational activities are carried out in line with relevant safety requirements
• You will provide Suitably Qualified Experienced Personnel (SQEP) input to electrical elements of Weapon Systems UK current & future portfolio
• Ongoing electrical maintenance of reference equipment and completion of monthly maintenance checks, strip and survey reports
• Conduct electrical function checks and fault investigations
• Participate in offsite trial activities
• Work closely with the team during solution or future design development
• Installation and testing of prototypes
• Organise and control any relevant production documentation and assist in the development of work sequences and work instructions
• Daily support of facility operations activities
• Define and maintain safe processes for operational activities and ensure that all process activities adhere to current Risk Assessment and associated Safe Systems of Work

Your skills and experiences:

• HNC/HND Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to carry out risk assessments, being aware of potential hazards in your area
• Able to use root cause analysis tools to problem solve
• Working experience of manufacturing or similar environment, utilising systems, tools and structure to influence outcomes around safety, quality, cost, delivery and people
• General engineering understanding across design, manufacturing and test processes, and demonstrate the importance of a "safety first" culture
• Strong stakeholder management relation across the function and wider business
