This is an exciting role working on improving government digital services. As a Product Manager at Companies House you will be responsible for creating, supporting and continuously improving our products and services. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of software and services, respond to changes in design and be able to deliver under pressure to short timescales.
Working closely with Service Managers and Delivery Managers, you will seek out opportunities to optimise delivery, while ensuring quality standards are attained and maintained.

This is an exciting opportunity in the Digital Services Directorate, helping to design and deliver quality digital solutions for the millions of users of our services. You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in Government and help shape our services to meet the ever-changing demands of the UK's business landscape.
The Product team plays a key role in the design, delivery and management of these services. Product Managers work with colleagues across the organisation to define, own and solve problems for users of our services. Product Managers work in an open, iterative and collaborative way in a multidisciplinary team, and need to communicate effectively and collaborate closely with designers, researchers, analysts, developers and architects, not to mention stakeholders and colleagues across Companies House. Candidates will be effective communicators with knowledge and application of product management techniques. They understand user centred design practices and know how to embed them into an agile workflow to deliver timely findings.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the vision and scope for products, engaging teams and stakeholders in the development of that vision over time.
- Champion your users, reviewing research, feedback, data and insights to inform continuous improvement and decide on the priorities for user research and business analysis.
- Work across the organisation to engage stakeholders throughout the journey through visible progress and transparent decision making.
- Lead the definition, priority and refinement of stories in the backlog to ensure they are of sufficient quality for research, design and development
- Work within a multidisciplinary team

- Candidates have experience of product management and product ownership in a complex and fast-paced environment.

- Problem ownership: understanding and identifying problems, analysing and helping to define the appropriate solution.
- Agile working: understand agile methodology and how to apply the agile mindset to deliver in a flexible, iterative and value-focused way.
