The project is for a leading insurance company known for its global presence and commitment to providing exceptional services to its clients.



Responsibilities:



As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, developing, testing, and demonstrating databases.

You will perform various related database functions across one or more teams or clients. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, as well as backup/recovery and configuration management.



You will also be involved in installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for the modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. In this role, you are expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep knowledge and experience in database administration.



You should have influencing and advisory skills, as you will engage with multiple teams and be responsible for team decisions.

Additionally, you will be expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams and provide solutions to business area problems.



Expert proficiency in PostgreSQL is required.

IBM DB2 Database Administration, IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database, MongoDB, and Oracle Database are recommended skills with expert proficiency in IBM DB2 Database Administration, expert proficiency in IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database, and intermediate proficiency in Oracle Database.

Develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.

Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.

Conduct regular database performance tuning and optimization to enhance system efficiency.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in database technologies, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.
