Hi
I've currently been an in-house designer for a local company and now want to become a freelance graphic designer.
i've been given some very contradictory advice in the past, however i just need to know how to go freelance.
some of my main questions i guess are:
do i set-up as either a company or sole-trader?
do freelancers pay tax?
how do i find freelance agencies to register with?
is there still a market for freelancers?
any help would be much appreciated
regards
Aman

Set up as a Ltd company (see this website for details)- - don't do Sole Trader anymore
You may need an Accountant (approx. £85/month) - not essential if you do your own research and homework on what you need to do.
Again read the posts on what other people have done.
You can find a list of agencies in the back of Design Week, Creative Review.
Yes there is a market for freelancers!
